Welcome back House-Mouse FANS!

We are here with a new challenge for you.

Anything Goes

with the option theme of  different card fold

..so join the fun!  Please use  a House-MouseDesigns(®
House-Mouse Friends /Happy Hoppers, or, Gruffies®  image stamped/decoupage or CD rom.

This is my second favorite image of all times from The House Mouse Designs® It is so unfortunate it is in retirement right now.  I hoping Spellbinders brings it back!

It is a great coloring challenge image.  You have to color stone/tile for the background, wood floors, Broom and, even the pumpkins can be a challenge.

This time I added a new fold which I am now in love with for vertical A2 cards or any size vertical card

Take an A2 card with fold at top, like a tent.  Turn sideways, score in middle, the at 2.1/4 ".  This card fold is so easy and fun with larger images.  Decorate and you are done.  On the inside is a pull out note card...fall is perfect for a hot beverage gift card....just sayin'.

Instead of doing a color palette, I am sharing a House Mouse color chart I made years ago.

I'm Goin' Fishin'! Why? Because I can.

Hello everyone, Dr. Digi is in da house thru Sunday over at the group Passionate Paper Creations and Friends!  I will tell you there is a sale on everything in his store so jump over join and grab some of the funniest images!

Here we have Anglin Andy! Andy is enjoying his retirement by fishing.  It's a small pond with big fish because that is how Andy rolls man.

I have to say his face, I just love it!  He use to be a CEO, can't you tell!

I gave him a reflection simply by duplicating the image and rotating it.  Then I made the lines almost invisible.  I barely colored them.  Then I colored the water over.

Here are the colors I used and where the colors are in order.  Sometimes starting with the lightest and sometimes starting with the darkest. It depends on what object I am coloring as to the method I color it.

you may pin this share it on Facebook, Instagram as long as my watermark stays intact.

Hey, thanks for visiting today and I hope I inspired at least one person.

Don't forget to grab your sale code at Passionate Paper Creations and Friends! For Anglin Andy

Shark bait ooh ah ah

 Hi Friends,

Told ya' I'd be back with more whimsy love this month.  Ummm, nope these are not Sand "Shahks".  These are those big momma jammas that if you start hearing the music.....you is in big trouble!

However, these goofy fellers are just happy to wish anyone a happy anything!

Can you believe this card took me 40 minutes to make from start to finish with no plan in mind.  I stamped the goofy trio and started coloring and before I knew it I was done.  Whimsy has it all right down to the embellishments!

I loved this so much I made it into a hanging sign. That's why you see the string if you were wondering.

Ok, are you ready for the color palette it's an easy one and you can easily follow it and color your very own.

Back with my Gnomies

Hello Friends,

First a little housekeeping with Blogger.  I have switched to a new email service

Click on the logo
If you are using Feedburner it no longer works.  I recommend this service.

Halfway through the week and has it been a busy one.  Today I am so very excited to share with you a new release from Whimsy Stamps.  Gnomes Lift You Up paired with the new release Slimline Dies Cornered Rectangle.

Before I talk about the card.  I want to tell you I feel is so awesome about how Whimsy operates.  Their releases are awesome because there are 3 a month! WOW, HOW COOL IS THIS!  They actually have their customer's budget first.  I mean, let's get real.  We want it all but, the fact is we can't have it all.  But we can afford a little at a time.  That is why the 3 releases a month are fabulous.  Second, they are really on top of their shipping.  When I order something it is here so fast.

Ok, now onto the card.  I had a blast coloring this adorable stamp by Chrissy, her gnomes are so adorable. When I colored this stamp I took my time and it was therapy. I used so many colors and tried something new on the tree leaves.  Instead of dotting I used the side of my brush nib, laid it down, and pulled it up.  But I made them very small.  It went faster than dotting it with the tip of my nib.

Ok So I have an updated version of my Color Palette and it is Instagram Friendly.  Now it is broken down step by step and named for what the color combo goes to.  It also has the product used on it.

I would love for you all to share it, pin it, where ever you can.

Well, I hope you enjoyed today's share.  I will be back with another very special Whimsy Post this month with the next release.

To The Top by Lili of the Valley

Happy Monday Friends.  Today I am working with Lili Of The Valley.  Here is To The Top, which is a new release for October.  There are 4 Yummy Vintage Boys that are just perfect for boys and men.

I mean really, isn't it so hard to find the perfect image for a male card?  Well, These 4 four digi images are just awesome and a must-have.

I will be coloring all four hopefully this week to show just how wonderful they are.  I will be doing easy layouts, with and without dies. This card I did not use any dies.

I have been playing with skies lately.  I have not perfected it but the key is to keep trying.  For instance.  Now that I am looking at the photo on my BigMac there are a couple of things I should have done differently.  1.  At the face - I should have flicked from the edge of the face to the edge of the paper.  Because I flicked from the edge of the paper toward the face I fell short leaving what appears to be who knows what!  2. On the top edge of his hat, I should have carried the light all the way across.  The image appears to have a halo effect around the top.  I'm pretty sure skies don't do that.

His hat to create texture is nothing more than dotting with my blue combo.

The ground, well, honestly, I just did it and didn't think about it.  I needed to do something with the side of the hill to ground it.  Coloring some rocks at the base would have really been perfect!!!!  Now I think of it!!!!

I know you are going to go buy this adorable image.  And, for that reason, I have given you a very detailed color palette so you can see the exact colors and where I used them.

Thanks for stopping by and until next time.....

Ornament Background

Another NEW great background from Whimsy and DoveArt.  It's Called Ornament Background.  I did this one in non traditional colors.  I want to another one in no lin coloring and in different colors.  I'm very curious to see what it would look like.  I also thought when I was coloring this, it would be really cool to layer pieces for deminsion.  It would also be a lovely framed so you could bring it out each holiday season.
