New Power Poppy - Oh My!

 Poinsettia and Pomegranates

Hello, and welcome to Power Poppy's New Digi Relase.  This happens on the 5th of each month.  An instant classic for Power Poppy, this showy holiday image is finally available as a digital stamp — ready for you to resize, flip, flop, or edit to fit any project you've dreamt up. Elegant Poinsettia leaves burst from a whorl of pine needles and sprays of baby pomegranates. Whether you take it on at full speed with punchy reds, inject it with pinks and oranges, go for chartreuse and white, or a subtly shimmering metallics, this image is pretty much an instant knockout. Comes with a lighter version for no-line coloring, plus two new sentiments that are not available in the clear stamp version.

I decided to go non-traditional with this time.  I actually started to create a white poinsettia and well, you can see where it ended up.  I finished the rest of the image and left it.  When I came back to it the flower was just a little to soft and didn't have enough "pop off the page" like I wanted.  So in went a few more colors and cast shadows.  There it was, just what I thought of.

At this point the background was just to white.  So I sicked my C0, 1, 3, and 5 on it and a rag with some blending solution.

Why not add even more depth with dies!  I used a whole pack of square dies to stack the image on the front of the card.  This gave it even more deminsion.  The sentiment is from another Power Poppy Holiday Stamp Set.  Added matching cardstock layers in light grey, blue grey and berry on a 5 1/2 square card base.  Silver half beads and a tiny bow, all done.  Another card that I will keep all to myself, heehee.

Thank you for visiting today.  I hope I inspired you to step outside the traditional box of colors!  See you again really soon. xo!

Rhea with Bloobel Our Sponsor Of The Week!

Hello and welcome back!  I am really pleased to have Bloobel Stamps and Coloring Pages as Sponor of the week over at Passionate Paper Creations and Friends Facebook Group this week.

When I saw "Running Scared" I knew the perfect sentiment to go along with it!  Riley and Company has some of the funniest sentiments ever.  They go so well with Lisa's images!  Now this image is part of being a Subscriber which is only $5 a month and you get free images that are not available to the public.

This image was really fun to color.  A lot of sweeping with the side of the nib.   I started with the sky, then the ground.  But the really fun part was giving the image motion by simply adding light flicks in sky colors and BV20 and C0.

Please make sure to jump over to Passionate Paper Creations and Friends Facebook Group! You will be able to get a special discount this week only and only on the group.
Also, thank you, for stoping by today and visiting.  I will be looking for you over at PPCF.

Ewwwww!

Hello, Rhea here today.  Do you know what happens when you put DoveArt Studios with Riley & Company together for a holloween card?  A true explination of me and spider webbs!!!
Ewwwwww...I hate them!  I just know that eight legged thing that built the web is on me and I can't see it.  It gives me the willies just thinking about it!
Tanya must feel the same way or how else could she have not come up with this sentiment.

Well, honestly there were not enough colors to do a Color Palette.  No seriously!
N1,3,5 BV20 and BG000
Crystal Sickles

For the border I use my old rectangle dies yo make a frame and then embossed it with an old mini dot embossing folder in my stash.  I took a .003 multiliner to dot around all embossed dot, then placed a small dot of BV20 in the center.  With a .8 multiliner I dotted inbetween each embossed dot.
The Sentiment was die cut then colored from dark to light with the same colors as the web and tied with twine.

Shopping List:

Thank you for visting again today!  This was such a fun and easy project and still makes me laugh.
