We Love You!

I am in love with Mo's Elephants!  So much personality in these little characters!  Being digital you have so many options.  Here I've combined "I Forgot" with "I Heart You" to make this cute little card.
I typed in the sentiment around the images using photoshop.

I simply used large stitched rectangles to create the card.  Used a ruler to draw the outline around the image and that was it.  Pretty easy really.

Can we talk about the elephant in the room? It's Pink!

Hello, Can we please talk about the elephant in the room?  It is pink after all!  "I Forgot" is way to cute and I find humor in this image.  It can be with many different sentiments...just use your imagination.  Color it green and say, hope you feel better soon.  Baby cards, I'm Sorry, and the list can go on.

I colored this image using R000, R11, R21 and E04.  Grays were C1, 3, 5  The blue flower B91 and 95.  To add shadows I used BV00.  Then to deepen I used just a little of a brown Prisma Pencil with highlights of white Prisma Pencil.
The Dies are from the new release By DIEzyne Card Maker #1 and Heart Border.  I also used BDZ Large Rectangles Stitched.  You can find all of these dies by clicking here

Coneflowers by Power Poppy

Not only is there a NEW Digital Stamp available today at Power Poppy, there is also a celebration this weekend at Passionate Paper Creations and Friends Facebook Group!
But first things first.  The NEW Coneflower Digi Stamp is available today and it is wonderful.  You can color it all by its self just like I've done here.  Or, image layering it with other power poppy flowers to create a beautiful garden of flowers to color.  Oh wait...I think I will do that for my next project on Monday, Sept 7th!  My brain is already thinking of ideas!

Ok, now for the celebrating over at PPC and Friends!  Yup, we always have fun and inspiration going on and I personally know how much attention the Power Poppy Cards get when I post them.  So can you image an entire design team from Power Poppy posting inspiration and ideas!
There is a special price on a very special digi and a coloring contest so you won't want to miss out!

Hey!  I will see you over at the group!  Come become a member and lets have some fun coloring!!!

Here is a little hint and a little inspiration into this weekend!

Bright Wings Are Happy Wings

H! friends, I just love this image "Wings".  I wanted to do a couple of things.  Play with embossing folders, shapes, Copics and Prisma Pencils.  But, keep it clean and simple.

I am really getting into texturing my backgrounds, and I've been experimenting with different ways to do just this.  Here I just used a simple embossing folder on white card stock and placed it against the white card base.  I needed a smooth area for the Sentiment so I offset a circle die.  The sentiment is from the Vintage Affections Line called Postage Stamps.  Added a touch of ribbon to add a little more texture.

Now for the coloring, I colored her with Copics.  She was just perfect but I really wanted to bring in a little more something so I added Prisma Pencils.  (which are also listed in the color palette)   I did not color over the entire image with the pencils only where i wanted the most depth then blended with the color that most matched the Copic color.  I used white to blend a little more and add additional highlights.  She really pops against the clean white card.

Mo Manning - Elke and Bear

Hello, today's inspiration is the sweet Elke and Bear which you can find here.  Or you can simply jump over to Mo's Digital Pencil by clicking here.

I enhanced the Copic Coloring with Prisma Pencils to give more contrast using black pencil and white pencil.   The background was covered with blending solution then color was added and blended with colorless blender again.

The overall layout was clean and simple.  The image was cut out using By DIEzyne Large Rectangles.  Embellishments with May Arts Ribbon and a simple button.

By DIEzyne New Release and Doodle Dragon Studios New Release

We are excited to announce the third release from By DIEzyne Dies and Doodle Dragon.  We are celebrating this weekend on Passionate Paper Creations and Friends Facebook Group and C.C. Designs Facebook Group.
We are kicking everything off with a really big blog hop!

Here I used a few of my dies from By DIEzyne Dies.  I used the NEW DIEzyne Card #1 with the border from Stitch This and Double Sided Circles.  I used the border from Stitch This to create the background effect.  The square in the NEW DIEzyne Card #1 is a double sided stitch so you can use it as a frame cut out or to cut out an image!!!!  way awesome!  Of course Scaredy Cat is one of my favs from Doodle Dragon.
If you get lost here is our hop list-

Mo Manning - Ragged Kelly

Hello, I am here sharing a clean and simple design of Ragged Kelly from Mo Manning.  I really love this image so much this is the second time I've colored it.  I don't normally do that!  But this one will likely be colored again in the future.

Camellias - Power Poppy

Hello Power Poppy Friends!  Today I hope to inspire you with bright colors using Camellias.  This is a digital set found in the Power Poppy Store.

Camellias are usually shades of pink, red or white.  Honestly, I wanted to inspire you to use colors you like or are feeling at the moment you start a project.  I felt like using shades of orange...so I did!  Then using the Triadic Theory of the Color wheel. I went with Green and Purple to compliment.

Wondering what the Triadic Theory is of the color wheel?  Three colors  spaced equally apart on the color wheel.  So If I chose oranges, Purples and greens were Triadic in theory.  So I was comfortable in knowing that the finished piece would be balanced in colors and by using the below colors that started with 1 in the Copic Color Family I knew it would be brighter as well with little to no gray undertones.

Here is the color palette if you want to give it a go :)
