Altered with Resin Charms Travel Book

Hello, Rhea here to share a really fun project.  We've been playing with Nunn Designs and EnviroTex Jewelry Resin has been a lot of fun this week.  Doing vintage altered projects is one of my favorites.

Grab your EnviroTex Jewelry ResinNunn Designs bezels, Canvas, A little burlap and Stampendous SSC1121 Eiffel Tower SSC1167 Baggage Claim and SSC1166 Air Travel then the little Eiffel Tower from SSC1124 Charm Collection.  Now, let's get messy :)

First we are going to start with quick tip on the bezels.  Stamp the image with permanent WATERPROOF ink.  After you have stamped the image seal the image on both the front and back with glue (that will dry clear) or clear packing tape.  Make sure it is sealed super duper good or the paper will vanish and the ink will become blurry.  Ummm...I learned the hard way and did not do that with this project.  But I lucked out because it gave the bezels a more vintage look.

Add your fragments and elements and don't forget the glass glitter and micro glitter.  Follow the instruction for mixing and pouring the EnviroTex Jewelry Resin.  It is so easy to use.  Hint - I found baby wipes to be the best for cleaning up.  Wax paper makes a great work surface and resin doesn't stick.

I used the following fragments and elements:

I mixed spritzes with copic refill ink and alcohol.  If you want a softer result use 99%.  For a brighter result use 70%.  For this project I used E50, B39, V08 and BG78  Let Dry

Airbrush flourish with coordinating colors.  I went 2 shades lighter that the spritz colors.  I used Dreamweavers Stencil, #LJ 896 Large Flourish.  Spritz again all over with E59 to tone down and blend flourish in a little.

Wrap the book.

Stamp the Eiffel Tower  first with cobalt archival ink.  Then randomly stamp images from Baggage Claim and  Air Travel.  Use coffee archival ink as well as the cobalt.

Trim burlap to fit book.  Spritz with E50 and B39.  Fray the front edge and rough it up a little.

Decorate your book.  I used a couple of the other stamps to create another charm and a resin ticket.

I hope you enjoyed reading about this book as much I enjoyed making it.  I also hope you are enjoying the great blog hop we have today.
