Peacock Queen

Hello and welcome back so quickly!  While I was recovering from surgery this helped me to focus my discomfort (yes, that's what we will call it)  Focusing on something else helps with so many things.  Such as pain, stress, being upset and depression.  Yes, this is true.  I tend to choose more complex images when I find myself needing to focus.

So here is Peacock Queen by Aurora Wings.  Mitzi is my goto Artist when I really need to get my mind off of things.  I admit I did do this in stages and it took 3 days.  All in all about 3-4 to color.

She will be framed as she is a full 8x10 size.  My favorite part was the dress.  The bottom wavy ruffles in the mermaid style stress with those fabulous feathers.  Of course, that is where I started from the bottom and worked my way up.

Thank you for visiting and I will see you again soon!  Whimsy Stamps is up next.

Cup Of Columbine by Power Poppy

New to the Power Poppy Collection is  Cup of Columbine.  A delicate teacup overflowing with pretty plants is steeped in detail and delight. Columbine (Aquilegia) flowers intermingle with ruffled miniature Hosta leaves for a bouquet that will tickle your coloring fancy all the way through summer. You get two designs — one with the flowers and teacup only, and a second, more challenging composition with a baby robin snapping up a few of the Columbine seeds. Both images have a lighter "no line" version included.

Well, you see, Marcella's vision as a team was to do this in blues and purples.  I googled Columbine flowers and there are many garden versions.  I color so many blues and purples I just needed to color outside my box.  Sorry, Marcella! heehee.

Whimsy Stamps is excited to bring another 25 DoveArt Studios Stamps to the store!

If you have been following the Whimsy Release week, you have now seen all of the DoveArt Studio Stamps .  Wow!  But that doesn't mean I am done showing them off :)

DoveArt Stamps are deep etched red rubber to give you clean sharp lines with all the fine details when you stamp them.  You can look forward to seeing 2 DoveArt Classes coming from this release in my online classes.  I am working on them now!  You can visit PassionatePaperCreations.com in the meantime.

Just because there is a lot of details doesn't mean it is difficult to color.  This image only took me less than an hour to complete.  Don't let all the details intimidate you...nope it is just the opposite!  Easy peasy!

Stay Tuned because you will have a surprise post as to what the classes are when the post on my blog pops up!

Just a little fun coloring Power Poppy

Hello friends,  taking a little me time to color.  My Friend Corinne encourage me to color the beautiful lilies from  Power Poppy.    She did a beautiful job with her's in a dark red.

Are they not just to die for!  Red is her favorite color and I love how she did her vase.   Her flowers just come to life and look like velvet.  So amazing.

So here is my version.  Using the Colors RV53, 63, 66, 69 for the Lily.

These Joyful Lilies. are popping up all over Passionate Paper Creations and Friends and when you print them they are framable size.  Yes, I will be framing this one and Corinne is framing hers as well.   They just make me happy!  Thank you, Power Poppy for constantly creating the most beautiful florals to color.

New Class Available Online at PassionatePaperCreations.com

Join me online for a new class.  Chris is packed with techniques.
I had so much fun creating this class.  I honestly had no plan...you are right there with me as it all comes together.  I admit...I made a big mistake with an ink blob which not fixable.  I had to just walk away.....the next morning it all fell into place.
"When in doubt, fussy cut!"  "Then Start again."
98% of mistakes are fixable.
Imagine what this card would look like with a die cut fence.  Take the class and you will see what I mean.  I am really excited to see what you think!
