Boo... Happy Halloween!

Hello! Welcome to Passionate Paper Creations!

Lysa here, and I'm thrilled to be sharing a card I made using Creative Basics dies
and this super cute image by a PPCF sponsor, Conie Fong Art!

I love making Halloween cards, and I'm squeezing in as many as I can before Monday!

Today I wanted to share how easy it is convert an "everyday" image into a Halloween one - all it takes is a little imagination and a change in the color combination!

So for this card I used Tori the Dragon- up...

I colored Tori using copics, stamped the letters "BOO" in the balloons, and die cut the image using the Basic Stitched Flag die

Copics:
 dragon: Y02, YG01, YG03, YG17, YG67, R20, V04; balloons: W1, W3, W5, G02, G05, G07, V04, V06, V09; YR02, YR04, YR07.

I also made this one using Bat Friends a few weeks ago.

(you can find details on my blog)

I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend... and for those that celebrate Happy Halloween!!

Creative Basic Cookies

Welcome to Paper Passionate.

Dorinda, here with your LDRS Creative inspiration.
This is the cutest little image called
What Cookies.
I've used Creative Basics Fancy Squares & Little Things Die Set
Picnic Quilt Embossing Folder
Basic Background Builders I

I had a blast making this card.
I started off cutting two pieces of white card stock with the larger
Fancy Squares & Little Things  frame.
I then cut the smaller frame of my designer paper and one piece using my white card stock.
With a brown card stock; I cut about a half piece of the smaller frame and embossed it with
 Picnic Quilt Embossing Folder.
Setting the brown piece and the white piece together to make a stack;
I marked the white frame where the curve starts and cut the above portion off the white;
Adhering the brown to where the white used to be,
Now, I've created a cute top piece for my cookie jar.
The straight dotted portion of Basic Background Builders I
was used to cover the join edge.
With the tag from  Fancy Squares & Little Things Die Set; I created a pull tab.

The now finished inside section is placed between my two original, large, frame pieces.
Eyeball where you'll need to adhere to top; still leaving room for the center to pull out gently.
A little strip was added on the bottom with Fancy Squares & Little Things small frame for the jar base and just aligned it with my designer paper.

That's it.
I added a tassel to my pull and some heart embellishments from Fancy Squares & Little Things.
I'm super excited how this turned out.
I'm always looking for new ways to use my dies.
If you have some and would like to share, we'd love to see them.

DollHouse Chilly Daze

Welcome back to Passionate Paper Creations!

This is Ruby from and that's all she wrote and I'm here  featuring a NEW DollHouse Rubber stamp Chilly Daze  with Creative Basic Fancy Rectangles & Layers die set and kicking up a notch with the gorgeous Creative Basics Picnic Quilt Embossing Folder.

I colored DollHouse Chilly Daze with watercoloring Tombow markers , Prima watercoloring pencils and TimHoltz Distress Ink pads. I get asked what are my go to mediums and I actually like to pull various brands so it's really how I feel when I see the image and what I want to do with it.

I then cut her using Creative Basic Fancy Rectangles & Layers die. I used the bigger size up to cut a pretty border to surround her. I also cut some tags to create a border in the center with the same set.

My favorite piece is that GORGEOUS embossing pattern in the background using the Creative Basic Picnic Quilt Embossing Folder.
Just puts everything together I say.

Sally and Little Squirrel

Hello! Welcome back to Passionate Paper Creations, Jessie here today sharing a card featuring Connie Fong Art - Sally and Little Squirrel and Creative Basics Dies.

I coloured up this image with my Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils, on fabriano artistico 140lbs hotpress watercolour paper. a lot of distressing. A few cuts of the smallest two flags from the Creative Basics Stitched Flags die set, and the smaller rectangle from the Fancy Rectangles & Layers Die Set created a great foundation for the image and my flowers on this card.

Mixed Media with Power Poppy

Hello, and Welcome to Passionate Paper Creations!  Rhea here to share with you a Mixed Media creation using Countryside Bouquet from Power Poppy.

The glory of digital images is you are able to size them to almost any size you wish.
This image I sized to 8.5"x6".  I've done this in a card size previously, but it happens to be one of my favorites so I thought I would so something a little special with it.
1.  With a wooden board purchased at a box store, I used a 12"x12" stone wall stencil using Faber-Castel Whipped Spackle.  Once it was dry, I used my water brush filled with Blending Solution and Copic Refills to "Water Color" or "Paint" the stones to look like bricks.
2.  I die cut the fence and sign from chipboard. Then covered with matching paper.
3.  Everything was attached using foam pop up squares with pieces of chipboard to lift from the "wall" this piece has a lot of dimensions.
4.  Add a bow and that is it.

All color is from Copic Markers and Refills as well as airbrushing.
Here is the color palette...
