Enjoy The Dance

Hello, I wanted to share a little coloring therapy from today.  Odette from the Mo Manning Collection.

It isn't often I play...well actually, I am blessed to play and color every day of the week.  LOL.  I am usually designing for one of my fabulous teams or researching new trends and techniques.  All of these things take up about 10-12 hours a day.  Yes, I do it 7 days a week...hahaha.  When I take time to do a little "Color Therapy" it is just that.

I wanted to practice my easy 3 step curly hair.  This little darling was perfect.  I have a tutorial coming your way on Sunday!!

I'll be taking this design with me to the Stamp Expo in Syracuse, NY.  I will be demonstrating coloring techniques all weekend and I am so excited to get my feet wet in my new home town.  I miss teaching classes and would love to get a group going here!!!

Here is the color palette I used.  I always color light, dark, medium and then back to light :)

until next time...

Here is all the goodies I used :)

Big Yawn

Celebrating Dad's week comes to a close today over at Stampendous.  I am sharing another Gruffy® from House Mouse Designs®.  This one is called Big Yawn.  It's great for a baby card but I made mine a little more masculine and less baby.  Besides Dad's like woobies too :)

I kept the layout really simple.  But, added a little air brushed cheesecloth to soften the over all look of the card.  Adding the three buttons on the bottom and lacing twine added a nice touch I thought.

Here is the Color Palette...I color light, dark, medium and back to light.

Sleepy Reader

Hi there, I'm back today with Stampendous as we continue to celebrate dad's week.  Here is Sleepy Reader a House Mouse Designs® now in rubber.  It's actually from the Gruffy's Collection.

I decided to keep this layout clean.  It is simple too :)  Reds, browns and tans are lovely together and perfect for this image.
Here is the color Palette...I color light, dark, medium and back to light.

Newspaper Pup

Hello,  this week Stampendous is celebrating dad's.  I thought this card was perfect.  I used Newspaper Pup and Crosswords Perfectly Clear Stamp.  I added a little burlap, ribbon and inked/distressed the paper edges and let's not forget my go to shabby white and aged gold embossing powders.

of course the images was colored with Copic Markers in E30, 31, 34, 35.  No need for a color palette on this project :)

Knitting A Gift

Good Morning, happy Memorial Day.  Here we are celebrating the beginning of the summer season with all the seasonal lakes, pools and parks opening....and...I am sharing a card knitting hats and scarfs.  LOL.  But it is seriously so adorable I just don't care, snicker.

I've been meaning to post this for quite a while.  For some reason I lost it in the shuffle of designs and scheduling.  But none the less, it is second to my most favorite.  My favorite being Hummingbird feeder.  House Mouse Designs® are so much fun to color and they are really quite easy.  You don't have to make them vintage.  You can make them bright or pastel.  I tend to mix them up.

I added aged gold embossing powder and shabby white embossing powder to add interest to the image.  The flower is made from book pages and air brushed.  Lace ribbon and cheesecloth added the perfect touch.

Here is the color palette.  I color light, dark, medium light.

Tulips

Hello,  I wanted to do a quick little share :)
I colored up this retired PSX image  doing no lines.

Florals are my favorite for doing no line coloring.  I feel it gives a softer and more artist look to the finished piece.  I've used Spellbinders 5x7 dies and labels to mat.  I will be looking for the perfect white vintage frame to show these off in.

Here is the color palette...
