Hello, Rhea here with this weeks tutorial for Stampendoushttp://www.stampendous.com. I am in love with Lisa Hindsley's Jack Sunflower by Stampendous. This image called out for me to color with lots of texture. It's a technique my friend, mentor and fellow Stampendous Design Star Jennifer Dove taught me as well as so many of her students.
The technique of texturing is fun and one our favorite's to do. Once you've colored your area put a little blending solution or rubbing alcohol on a fabric swatch. Don't soak the fabric. Lightly hold on the area for 3 seconds and remove. Do not hold for longer. You will see the pattern of the fabric piece appear before your eyes.
Here are 3 different types of fabric I used in Jack Sunflower to add all the texture.
Awesome isn't it! It really adds so much to your coloring project. Just like everything else Copic Marker....practice :)
Now take the texture into the final card design with Fran-tage' elements and texture ribbons. It will help tie it all together. I used:
Here is a color pallet for you too.
