Hello, today is a Power Poppy day. I am sharing Tulips which I used the digi format to create a garden of these beautiful flowers. You can find the Tulip Digi Stamp HERE.
Although I used very dark colors in my palette, I only used a little of the darkest shades (V09 and V06) I didn't want them to be too dark. Instead wanted them bright showing dimension. I usually do the background first but this time it was an afterthought. Starting with BG000 I saturated the area which was going to be the darkest. Place random dots of B95 in the darkest areas. Make sure to scatter as they go into the lighter areas. Go over this area with B91, again closer together in the dark areas and scattering as it moves into lighter areas. It will start to blend. I added just a touch of V01...not much. It is used to accent and reflect the colors of the flowers. With BG10 go over everything you've just colored with large sloppy dots using the side of the nib. Expand the area moving further into the lighter area. Repeat with BG0000 as this will again start to blend colors together. Finally add V000 again to highlight and show a touch of reflection of the flowers.
