Timeless Tattered Flower for May Arts Ribbon

Hello!  For those who know me, know I love ribbon, flowers, Copic Markers, and Mixed Media.  Well, this project has it all!  It feels like forever ago that I've created a mixed media piece.  I really enjoyed creating this for the May Arts Ribbon round 2 audition for the Ribbonista's 2014-2015 Team.
I present to you...
"Timeless"

Here is a quick and easy tutorial for making the tattered flower....Feel free to pin it :)

here is some additional photos and information on how to make this piece.

The clock was covered in two coats of gesso.  I air brushed it with E35, E27, E79, YG99, B39.  Gave it a few spritzed of alcohol...WAY COOL!!!  It dulled the Copic Colors against the gesso and separated it like gloss paper.  Finally I heated the clock with my heat tool in areas and dropped aged gold embossing powder on it.

The next steps were to cover a canvas and frame for a base.  Wrap and twist 1/4" sheer ribbon in olive
green (vine) from the base up and around the clock. Weave Peach 3" tule in and out of the sheer ribbon in the same way.  These are attached with my trusted glue gun.

I attached the large flower  then proceed to create a couple more smaller versions.  Added small lace ribbon rosettes with tiny leaves made from faux canvas ribbon.

Let's not forget all of the metal fun...gears, cogs, clock and what ever else I found in my stash.

Thanks for coming by today!  I wish all of the talented ladies in this final found with May Arts Ribbon the best of luck.  xoxoxo

This is going to be an extensive shopping list...Have Fun shopping!!!
