Damask Pumpkins by Stampendous

Hello,  I am in the mood for fall!  It is still over 100 degrees and very humid here in Phoenix, Arizona.  So I am escaping the heat mentally by coloring lots of fall yumminess!!!

Fist let's start with the background;
  1. Cut a piece of burlap 6x6 and fray edges.  Thoroughly coat one side with DecoArt Dimensional Effect Texturing Paste.  Let dry.
  2. Work on the reverse side.  The texture paste will come through :)
  3. Lightly brush Distress Paint in Forest Moss and Rusty Hinge in a random pattern and let let.
  4. Using a metal stencil...I love Dreamweaver Stencils!  Here I used. LJ896 Flourish.  Lay Stencil flat.  With pallet knife spread texture paste in a thin even coat.  Remove Stencil.  Let dry.   When it was dry I used a metallic rub from Viva Decor to give it "Pop"

Coloring the pumpkins was my favorite part!  You may want to click on the above image to see the details and colors used.  Each photo is in order of blending.
Here are the finished pumpkins before adding them to the canvas.  The stems were easy with the colors included in the the below color pallet.
