Elegant Black and Gold Stampendous Design

Rhea here again with another Stampendous! design.  Today I created an elegant black and gold card to share.  I call it Romance.

I enjoyed using the Foliage Cube and Elegant Edges to create a formal and elegant card.  I started by embossing the busiest side of the Foliage Cube using Detailed Pirate Gold.  Then I punched out the circles.  I used the largest Elegant Edge at the bottom and the smallest at the top of the card.  I wrapped black satin ribbon to the top and bottom of these edges.  Finally, place a little tulle behind the circles and pop them up.  It's that easy.

I hope you enjoy!

La La Lands Eiffle Tower

Today I am sharing a romantic tag inspired by La La Lands New Dies.  This one is Eiffel Tower.
Even though you can see it here, there is so much detail to the die.  I wanted my Eiffel Tower to look like diamonds so I embossed it with silver and covered with diamond stickles.   Unfortunately, the photo doesn't do the tower justice.

I hope you enjoy this little bit of inspiration today!

Things With Wings

It's time for our next challenge at 7 Kids College Fund.
This time we are doing...
"Things With Wings"

My Inspiration came from Inkadinkado's Mindscapes and Delicate Branches.
I absolutely love Hummingbirds so this was perfect.

I started playing with the tag and from there designed the card.
I used Triple Thick embossing powder and inked with the new 2012 Summer Limited
Edition Inks from Tim Holtz.

Hop on over to 7 Kids College Fund and play along!

Thank You Tag

Yet another TAG!!!  Here I used a plaid paper and embossed it with Tim Holtz Damask embossing folder and inked with Walnut Stain.  Add Layers of Ribbon your message and you are done.  It will be good inspiration for a masculine card.

Stampendous July Challenge

Today we are kicking off the July Challenge over at Stampendous!  The theme is Citrus...so anything the color of citrus goes.
For my design, I used...For the 4 squares I used Tile Cube to stamp and emboss in Vinatage Olive.  I then stamped and embossed the same design on green card stock...I used detailed gold for the embossing.  I used my 1" circle punch to cut and shape.
For the greeting I used detailed gold embossing and Happy Messages

Stampendous Songbird

My first Stampendous Project for the Blog Star Team!  How exciting this is...I hope I can exceed the expectations :)

If you know me, you know I love TAGS!  Tags are great for perfecting your techniques.  I keep all of mine together on big rings.  When I need inspiration I turn to my rings of tags.  When I need a quick card, I've been known to grab a tag and the hard work of the card is done :)  So with my love of tags I chose to make a tag for Stampendous.

I  love the Jumbo Stamps from Stampendous.  Each is unique and bold with a lot of detail.
Here, I've used Songbird and the swirl from Jumbo Tulip.

First I started by stamping and embossing Songbird with chunky and detail clear powders on super smooth white card stock.  I then worked my lightest background colors (distressed inks). Now, stamp and emboss the swirl...again, with chunky and fine clear powders.  Continue inking until the desired look is achieved.  Now that your inking is done, take a paper towel and lightly mist with water, wipe ink off of embossed areas.  This is why I used distressed inks.  Finish with embossing the edges with 2 powders, vintage mahogany and aged gold.  Tie your ribbons and o-la-la all done...well, I thought I was until I decided to ad a little tag using crown charm stamp...perfect...now it's done.

I hope you found a little inspiration from this project!
