Your mission should you choose to accept it is...
Holiday Inspired

So, here we go with another fun filled two weeks of Holiday Inspired!  Be sure to play along for your chance to win a $20 gift certificate to the store.

With the Holiday's now in full swing, your credit card screaming, "no, don't swipe me again" and your stress level climbing as your days left to holiday shop dwindle.  Awe, what an age we live in.  So, I thought I would go back in time with a the Simplistic Romance of good old Saint Nick.

Dude, all you got back then was a flippin' orange in your sock and if you were really a good kid you got a few nuts in there too.  If that wasn't bad enough it was the sock you had been wearing for the last few days maybe even weeks.  And you were happy about it.  I didn't want to go to far, this Saint Nick is just right.  He has a little tree and just a few goodies.

This card was fun to make.

I colored with distress ink pads using a dry brushing technique.  Then covered my design with sookwang tape and cut the oval out.  Peeled off the other side of the tape and covered with warm clear glitter ritz.  Seriously cool.  This made him look very old and shimmery.

I distressed, stamped and embossed the background paper.  put the greeting on and the card is done.

Now, Time to treat yourself to a little holiday shopping!
No oranges or nuts in your socks....

Gorgeous, Rhea! Love the image, the texture, and design! :^)
And you're right about the stocking thing--we used to get a bit of ribbon candy, and maybe a quarter, along with our fruit & nuts. :^)
Hugs, Penny
