Holiday Greetings

Hi, Rhea here to help keep you inspired for the September Challenge at Stampendous

Embossing Tricks & Techniques

I'm so excited about this month because almost every project I do has embossing in it somewhere.

In this design I've used glossy card stock paper, Distressed Inks, Pirate Gold Detail Embossing Powder and CRR144 Christmas Background to create a very quick and easy Christmas Card.

Holiday Greetings by: Passionate Paper Creations
The distress ink pads I used were forrest moss, aged mahogany and black soot. First start with the forrest moss and with your blending tool add ink in a circlular motion here and there.  Now, fill in with the aged mahogony.  Keep repeating this until you have the shade levels or richness you want.  Make sure to work quickly not allowing the ink to dry as you work.  You want the edges to blend.

You may feel the color is a little bright or not quite looking like mine.  No fear...add a touch of black soot.  It will turn your color instantly deep and rich.

The more ink you ad the longer it will take to dry.  Make sure your ink is completely dry before you even think about adding embossing powder or you will never read my blogs again.  You can speed dry it with a heat gun.  Once it's dry stamp with Versa Mark emboss and you are done!!!

I hope you play along and enter our challenge for a chance to win a free prize!!!!
